eargasms

music that is sexy.

Kerouak

I think it would be nice if we took a break and instead listened to some of my shit. I'll be updating this soundcloud page as I make more and more tracks.

Thank you!

Sufjan Stevens

"relaxing guitar shit with mellow vocals...sickeningly sentimental lyrics"

you said it best, Mario.

Sufjan Stevens-Casimir Pulaski Day
Illinoise (2008)

K Os

With his latest album 'Yes!' being compared against Mos Def's 'The Ecstatic' as the best hip hop album of 2009, this guy is gaining more and more recognition for his old school def jam flow style. Spoken word roots echo most in this track which, in my opinion, showcases his value as a rapper in the modern world best. The beat is pretty tripped and isn't the best on the album but the flow is second to none.

K Os-Astronaut
Yes! (2009)

Oriol

Perfect beats for summer laidback chilling, Oriol straddles the lines between underground hip hop beatmaking, dance electronica, and Weather Report-esque jazz lines.

Immerse.

Oriol-Coconut Coast
Planet Mu 12"

Florence and The Machine + The xx

Long before The xx became the sensation they are today, Jamie was showing off his versatility with a series of remixes and underground electro tapes.
Here's his re-imagining of sorts of Florence and The Machine's 'You've Got the Love'.

Florence and The Machine-You've Got the Love (The xx Remix)
Unreleased (2009)

The Black Keys

Always good to groove to, their new album is no different. A little more experimental than their usual shit, it's nonetheless good old fashioned garage rock. It's just sexier.

The Black Keys-The Go Getter
Brothers (2010)

Jakes

Thank god for Dubstep. Too dope.

Jakes-Titan Dub
Titan EP (2008)

The Antidotes

Imma thank my man Jerry for this one.
Dope beat, wicked buttery lyrics.

The Antidotes-Speed it Down
L.A. Lights (2007)

sebastiAn

ravetastic beats.

sebastiAn-H.A.L.

MADVILLAIN

The original Madvillainy release was one of the greatest hip hop albums I've ever listened to. Short tracks set to no-nonsense LA beats changed my ideas of beatmaking forever.
LA Producer Madlib and underground beast DOOM team up together again for a new album under the Madvillain name. Here's the first single and for now, it's a free download off of Stones Throw's site.

Enjoy.

Madvillain-Papermill
MADVILLAINY 2 (working title) (2010)

tokimonsta

I had a post on Toki not too long ago, but I wanted to bring her back cause I just bought her 'Cosmic Intoxication' EP and it's blowing my mind.

Tokimonsta-Playing With Toys
Cosmic Intoxication (2010)

DJ AM + Travis Barker

mad respect for AM's passing. here's one of the many mixtapes he did with Travis Barker's drumming. this one focuses on a few Weezy remixes.

DOPE driving music.

DJ AM(feat. Travis Barker)-FIX YOUR FACE 9
Fix Your Face (2008)

Javelin (SEX/ED)

The album is produced by Javelin but this track is sung by SEX/ED. It's buttery smooth old school 80s synth lines with a voice that can only be described as nonchalant.

Javelin/(SEX/ED)-STD Fury
Jamz and Jemz (2009)

Hiddy

I'm posting this up for Musick considering his computer's having some wack problems.

Relaxed shit.

Hiddy-Requiem
Unreleased

Baths

[Post-Foetus] changed aliases to become Baths and the change in name is also a change in style. This guy's music is incredibly hard to find.

Baths-Aminals
Baths 12" (2010)

Gold Panda

Gold Panda fuses samples from Hindi and Tamil tracks to make intriguing vox sounds piled over heavily edited beats that just exude warmth.

Gold Panda-You
You EP (2010)

Kyle Hall

Kyle Hall is minimalist electronica at it's best. Sporting John Cage-like grooves at over 70 BPM, it's pretty good shit.

Kyle Hall-Ic3 Girl Friend
Wild Oats 12" (2008)

edIT

I've put up a post for the Glitch Mob before but never something from edIT. or at least I don't think so, I dunno.

edIT took The Grouch's track 'Artsy' and basically put a breakbeat under it and it's good shit.

edIT-Artsy (Remix Feat. The Grouch)
Certified Air Raid Material (2007)

PK 14

Punk may be dead in the US, but it has reason to flourish under the banner of Communist China.

PK 14-TAMEN

Telepopmusik

good and light; relaxing.

Telepopmusik-Breathe
